EDDIE JONES

-

will await a medical update on Ben Te’o today, as the England centre is due to have a scan on the ankle he damaged in the early stages of Worcester’s Challenge Cup victory over Brive at Sixways. Having already lost another potential midfield asset, Manu Tuilagi, for the autumn Test campaign, the national coach could do without losing Te’o as well. If the injury is serious, it may impact on Jones’s stated intention to rest his Test Lions. Without Te’o as a contender for the No 12 shirt, Jones may have to consider picking Owen Farrell there after all. On a more positive note, Jones will have welcomed Mike Brown’s return to fitness and form for Quins. The full back’s running lines were smart and effective against La Rochelle.
