HARRY’S SLEEPOVER

Fans camp out for days under flyover

- By Tom Witherow

SNUGGLED together under a flyover in their onesies and duvets, these girls look remarkably cheerful as they face another night out in the cold.

That’s because they know every moment waiting on chilly concrete outside the Hammersmith Apollo will be worth it – when they get the prime spots inside for Harry Styles’s new show.

Some of his young fans have been camping outside the auditorium in West London for up to a week waiting to see the One Direction star.

They all have concert tickets – with one show last night and another tonight – but are prepared to brave the elements to make sure they get inside first to get as close to the stage as possible.

More than 50 ‘Directioners’, as the group’s superfans call themselves, have been camping out since last Monday. Many have travelled across the world for the chance to see Styles, 23, who is on a world tour to promote his solo album. Some have booked nearby hotel rooms give them the chance to have a brief shower and bathroom break, before they return to the front of the queue. Pharmacy student Ariadna Esbo, 19, came from Barcelona with three friends. ‘We have been here since Wednesday and we have been really cold. You really feel it at about 7am, but we have three layers, three pairs of socks on and we are keeping warm in our duvets. My mum knows we are coming to the concert but she thinks we are spending our days at tourist attractions, not sleeping here.’ Ruth Capps, 19, from Brighton, has been camping since Thursday. She said: ‘Nothing is too much for Harry.’
