Carol: My wild night on pop star’s tour bus
SHE’S certainly worked hard to build her successful TV career – and Carol Vorderman likes to play hard too, it seems.
The self-confessed ‘party animal’ has revealed she spent a night on pop star Rag’n’Bone Man’s tour bus earlier this year after going to see him perform.
The ex-Countdown presenter, 56, who is dating a 49-year-old tattooed builder, told Radio Times: ‘I go out a lot. I am a party animal. Richard Whiteley used to say to me, “Vorders, you could make trouble in an empty room.” He wasn’t wrong.’
The star, who hosted the Pride of Britain Awards last night, added: ‘People have an image in their heads of who I am and it’s really quite wrong. The party side of me isn’t a side that generally I allow to be seen. I went to see Rag’n’Bone Man in concert recently and ended up on someone’s bed in the tour bus. I’m like a grenade you pull the pin on. Life is never, ever dull.’ It is thought the twice-divorced mother of two went to his Bristol gig in April.
Miss Vorderman, who was not dating current boyfriend Cas Neill at the time, told the Mail: ‘Nothing rude happened, it was just funny!’ She made her first public appearance with divorcee Mr Neill three months ago.
Miss Vorderman also bemoaned the ‘obsession with looks’ nowadays but said she no longer cares what people think of her as she has ‘a thick skin’.
