Scotland urged to up the tempo
SCOTLAND forwards coach Dan McFarland has pointed to the team’s fitness as the key to beating Samoa at Murrayfield today. He said: ‘We want to play at tempo and at pace. We’re a fit team so we want to take advantage of that. ‘It suits us well, because it’s an attractive brand of rugby that people want to watch. ‘It suits the Scottish legacy that I grew up watching in Six Nations rugby. That was about high tempo and running the opposition off their feet. There’s a buzz about international rugby.’ Head coach Gregor Townsend has named four uncapped players in his match-day squad, with 27-year-old Edinburgh prop Darryl Marfo set to start. Hooker Stuart McInally makes his fourth Test start in the absence of the injured Fraser Brown and Ross Ford.
