GREAT BRITAIN secured a first bobsleigh World Cup podium place since 2013 as they won bronze in the United States. Bradley Hall and his team of Bruce Tasker, Greg Cackett and Joel Fearon led after the first run but finished behind winners Germany and USA after the second at the event in Utah.

CARL FRAMPTON made a winning return after 10 months out of the ring with a points victory over Mexico’s Horacio Garcia. The former WBA world featherwei­ght title-holder, 30, lost to Leo Santa Cruz in January and has since split from trainer Shane McGuigan to work with Jamie Moore. The Belfast fighter won by a unanimous decision.
