‘I’m really taken aback – it’s overwhelming’

SHE is the London socialite who swapped cocktails and party dresses for sleeping bags, bugs and beans. And last night Georgia Toffolo, 23, reaped the rewards of her dramatic lifestyle change as she won I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

The Made In Chelsea star, nicknamed ‘Toff’, endured three weeks in the Australian jungle where she had to complete tasks to win food for herself and fellow contestants.

During her time Down Under she was locked in a box of snakes for nine minutes, ate an ostrich foot and became best friends with Boris Johnson’s father, Stanley, a fellow contestant.

She was one of three celebrities to make the final of the show, which is in its 17th series, with Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas finishing second and radio presenter Iain Lee third. The trio enjoyed a lavish last supper before the crowning of the winner, feasting on cheeseburgers, Christmas pudding and cheese and crackers after triumphing in a final round of gruelling trials.

Miss Toffolo, who triumphed after nearly nine million votes were cast, said: ‘I didn’t think anyone would like me. I’m really taken aback – it’s overwhelming. Is this real?’

Experts previously predicted that she could rake in £1million following her appearance on the show in the form of lucrative underwear, cosmetic and fashion deals.

She had packed a range of stylish bikinis for her time in the jungle and appeared in several shower scenes throughout the series.
