EXETER STILL WAITING FOR AMPADU FEE
CHELSEA and Exeter City are yet to decide on a date for a tribunal that will set a transfer fee for defender Ethan Ampadu. The 17-year-old starred at the centre of Antonio Conte’s defence on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Bournemouth. But League Two Exeter are still owed a compensation fee for losing the teenager to Chelsea in the summer. Following Wednesday’s win, Chelsea will face Arsenal in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup in January. The two semi-final legs will see video assistant replays (VAR) being used for the first time in the competition, before being rolled out for the Wembley final. Meanwhile, the Blues may loan defender Dujon Sterling to Bournemouth in January.
