Newly-formed Live Company Group, which previously traded as Parallel Media Group, was readmitted yesterday, valued at £14.5m.

It recently bought Bricklive, a company that runs events in the UK which attract hundreds of thousands of Lego fans. Bosses said the listing would help fuel an expansion overseas, including in the Far East and China.

The number of Bricklive events hit 17 this year, with hopes this will rise to 30 in 2018. David Ciclitira, the company’s executive chairman, said: ‘The admission to AIM marks a momentous point in a successful year and will allow us to continue to grow.’

The Bricklive shows were launched in 2014, and this year, its four-day event in Birmingham attracted 500,000 people.

Live Company Group also owns Parallel Live, which runs Lego enthusiast events in the US.

Shares in the company rose 18.8pc, or 6p, to 38p.
