FOUNDED in 1994 by lifelong stammerer Dave McGuire, the McGuire Programme is now a hugely successful international organisation designed to help people to overcome even the most severe of stutters. This poignant documentary charts the emotional journey of six individuals — a lorry driver, a teacher, a pharmacist (Mueid, pictured with voice coach Steven Cairns), a photographer and two school boys — as, guided by former stutterers, they embark on this intensive, gruelling but potentially life-changing residential course.
