Today’s poem

As we welcome in the New Year Bidding farewell to the old, We look forward to the coming months, To the events that will unfold. Winter’s grip will loosen, The countryside turn green, And the snowdrop, flower of promise, Will very soon be seen. In anticipation too we look ahead To a Royal Wedding in the spring, To the joy and celebration This special day will bring. Hard times will come to trouble us, As they do in every year, But with the hand of God to guide us We can step forward without fear. L. M. Wadlow, Redditch, Worcs.
