AA boss tribunal bid

THE ex-boss of the aa is taking the company to court after he was sacked for assaulting a colleague.

Bob mackenzie, 66, was fired in July after a dust-up with insurance division head mike Lloyd, 39, during a company away day.

son Peter has defended his father, saying he resigned due to acute ill health and was suffering from stress. mackenzie has filed a case against the breakdown firm at the employment tribunal. The details of the case are not yet clear.

an aa spokesman said: ‘We are astonished that mr mackenzie is taking this to an employment tribunal. We stand by our decision to dismiss him for gross misconduct following his violent assault on another employee.’
