Chip maker sales boost
DIALOG Semiconductor has revealed record sales as it prepares for talks with its biggest customer, Apple.
The Reading-based firm makes power management chips used in the tech giant’s iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch devices.
Revenues for the fourth quarter were £342m, above an upper prediction of £306m. Sales were about £1bn for the full year. But the results were overshadowed by ongoing speculation about its future relationship with Apple. Shares fell last month after reports emerged that Apple was developing its own power management chip.
