ONLINE retail giant JD. com has promised to sell billions of pounds worth of Dyson hairdryers, Lipton ice tea and Clarks shoes to Chinese consumers.

Growing demand for British luxury goods has seen JD commit to selling £2bn worth of them over the next three years.

It said sales of UK goods in China have doubled over the past two years. The agreement follows Theresa May’s meeting with JD’s chairman Richard Liu during her state visit to China.
