Cheryl’s got a ring of mystery about her …
SINGER Cheryl caused a stir last night as she met Prince Charles – wearing a glittering diamond ring on her engagement finger.
The 34-year-old showed off her sparkler at a reception to celebrate the work of his charity The Prince’s Trust.
She looked slender – and uncannily like Meghan Markle – in a black silk slip dress. The former Girls Aloud star gave birth to a son, Bear, with One Direction singer Liam Payne last March.
She was previously married to footballer Ashley Cole and restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
Cheryl, a Prince’s Trust ambassador, greeted Charles with a familiar ‘hi’ before the pair chatted for a few minutes.
Another guest to catch the prince’s eye was model Neelam Gill, 22. The Coventryborn beauty, one of the most successful Asian models in the world, was wearing a daring dress – little more than a lowcut leotard with a lace overlay.
Charles was clearly smitten as he greeted 5ft 11in Miss Gill warmly and even touched her dress admiringly.
Miss Gill, whose outfit was by Londonbased designer Kristin Aadnevik, said she had met the prince only two days earlier at his British Asian Trust dinner and he had remembered straight away that she had been dressed all in red.
‘I couldn’t believe he had remembered what I wore and he also admired my dress tonight,’ she said.
The event at St James’s Palace was celebrating the Invest In Futures campaign which encourages the financial community to help young people into work or training.
