Alert over celery in ready meals
MORRISONS is recalling one of its ready meals because the ingredients label does not mention it contains celery.
The 400g Italian Penne Bolognese Bake could pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to the vegetable.
In the most severe cases, sufferers can go into a potentially fatal anaphylactic shock if they come into contact with it.
The chilled packs made by Morrisons cost £2.23 and all have best before dates from February 18 to 23.
The Foods Standards Agency said: ‘If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to celery, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.’ It added: ‘No other Morrisons products are known to be affected.’
