Collins held for 3hrs at airport
PHIL Collins was held for three hours at a Brazilian airport because of problems with his visa.
The 67- year- old singer, who is due to start a South American tour today, was reported to have been kept waiting when officials discovered he does not have a work permit. The former Genesis frontman, pictured, was held at Rio de Janeiro’s Galeao International Airport on Tuesday before being let into the country.
The frail star is due to kick off his tour with a concert at Rio’s Maracana Stadium today. He is also scheduled to perform in Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre in Brazil before continuing his 11-date run in Mexico.
He announced his comeback tour in October 2016 after coming out of retirement. He has had difficulties walking since a back operation, and last June had to perform sitting down at the British Summertime Festival in Hyde Park.
