PUBLISHER Pearson has returned to profit after an overhaul to appeal to the ‘Spotify generation’.
Students are increasingly renting books instead of buying them, in much the same way Spotify users stream music rather than buy it. This prompted Pearson – which expects to make a £451m profit for the year to December 31 – to focus more on ebook rentals.
