SINCE the beginning of February, there have been 40 incidents of stealing suitcases from unattended cars in the West End. This particular offence will continue so long as careless owners leave valuable goods in their cars. More suspected persons are arrested for hovering around unattended motor-cars than in any other class of potential felony.

MOST people are in favour of abortion in certain clearly defined circumstances. This is revealed in a survey by National Opinion Polls on behalf of the Abortion Law Reform Association. The survey shows a marked increase of sympathy for reform since a poll in 1965. [The law was changed seven months later to allow doctors to perform abortions lawfully under certain conditions.]
