£6m for hedge fund boss

Man Group’s boss took home £6.2m in 2017 – his first full year in the job.

Luke ellis earned a £1.1m salary, £5m in bonuses and £134,626 towards his pension as chief of the hedge fund. ellis, 55, built investment firm frm up from nothing before the financial crisis, but gave up City life to become a farmer in 2007.

The father of three was lured back into finance in 2016 by former Man boss Manny roman.
