West Ham’s ground fear

West Ham could be forced to play their next home game against southampto­n in an empty ground because they cannot guarantee security at the London stadium. Pitch invasions by fans marred saturday’s 3-0 defeat by Burnley and West Ham are unable to give the Premier League any guarantee that there will be no repeat in future. the sports Ground safety authority will seek a reduction in the ground’s capacity for upcoming home games. But with security in the hands of Ls185, who run the London stadium, West Ham have no control over safety and face the prospect of playing saints behind closed doors.
