LEAGUE TWO THIS WEEKEND
HERO OF THE WEEK
BILLY KEE. The Accrington striker’s 93rd-minute winner against Luton could be the difference in the race for the title. Kee is the division’s top scorer with 21 goals and this one at Kenilworth Road was probably the most important so far as Stanley overtook the Hatters to go top for the first time this season.
ZERO OF THE WEEK
DARREN WAY. Yeovil’s plum FA Cup third-round tie against Manchester United seems a long time ago. The form of Way’s side since then has been dreadful. They have lost their last three — Saturday’s 2-0 home defeat by newport the latest — and sit eight points above the drop zone with 11 games to play.
GOAL OF THE WEEK
MICHAEL BOSTWICK (for Linclon at Chesterfield). The Imps’ set-piece routines gained attention last year when Sean Raggett’s header beat Burnley in the FA Cup. They’ve continued to work hard on corners and Bostwick followed Sam Habergham’s delivery and headed in at the far post to equalise just before half-time. They went on to win 3-1.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
MICHAEL JOLLEY: ‘There are a million and one things we can improve on, but the lads showed they are willing to go until the 90th minute to get something from a game,’ said Grimsby’s new boss after James Berrett’s late equaliser against Port Vale.
STAT OF THE WEEK
SIX — Carlisle are unbeaten in six games and are now just two points below the play-off places.
