CHELSEA HEAD QUEUE TO RESCUE SHAW

- By CHRIS WHEELER by manager Jose Mourinho. Shaw, who is a Chelsea fan, is said to have been driven to despair by his treatment at the hands of Mourinho and looks likely to leave United at the end of the season — unless the manager goes first.

CHELSEA are ready to offer Luke Shaw a way out of Manchester United. The future of the 22-year-old left back has been thrown into doubt after he was substituted at half-time of United’s FA Cup win over Brighton on Saturday and again subjected to criticism Shaw’s camp are aware of interest from Chelsea, who lost out to United in the battle to sign the teenager when he moved to Old Trafford from Southampton in a £31million deal in 2014. Manchester City, Arsenal, Everton and Tottenham could also come into the reckoning if Shaw leaves. It is no secret that Mourinho wants Tottenham left back Danny Rose as a replacement for Shaw, although the United defender will not be forced out unless the move suits him.
