Murdoch offices raided
RUPERT Murdoch’s 21st Century Fox and a Netherlands TV station have been raided by EU investigators over alleged price-fixing of sports broadcasting rights.
The European Commission said was part of a wider probe into media organisations. No further details were given.
Fox said it was cooperating fully. Officials seized documents and records from Fox Networks Group in London on Tuesday. It is the part of Fox which distributes TV and cable channels. In the Netherlands, Ziggo Sport was raided.
The commission said: ‘The commission has concerns the companies may have violated antitrust rules that prohibit cartels and restrictive business practices.’
