SO MANY tantalising little nuggets in Amal Clooney’s American Vogue interview!

It seems husband George wooed her by writing emails in the voice of his dog, who he pretended needed legal advice. Adorable.

He calls their twins ‘The Knuckleheads’. Irresistible. Can things get any cuter?

Yes. Amal loves giraffes. On safari in Africa, George had what Vogue described as ‘one of those epiphanies that arrive in the interstices of a life’.

‘ Some giraffes walked up to Amal and she was smiling. I said to my buddy Ben: “You know, I think I should ask her to marry me.” And Ben said: “I think that’s a good idea.” ’

A giraffe, eh? Curses. If only I’d thought of an epiphantic interstice like that.
