Murder most foul
THE BBC seems set on producing violent and dark dramas. Agatha Christie’s Ordeal By Innocence has been turned into something its author would not recognise.
Agatha Christie doesn’t need to be modernised with foul language to attract a new audience.
Her murders are shocking because they take place in a village among people you would be happy to meet in the local teashop.
I was delighted the BBC has re-issued the Joan Hickson Miss Marple series from the Eighties, beautifully restored. The only problem is these DVDs have been released only abroad. So much for the licencepayers who funded the restoration.
