Mariah sexually harassed me, says her ex-manager
MARIAH manager her harassed – alleging her. is threatening Carey’s the singer sexually former to sue
a Stella close friend Bulochnikov, and confidante, who was filed also documents in New York warning of her intention to seek damages.
they claim the American diva ‘did sexual things’ in her presence and would appear naked in front of her.
Miss Bulochnikov, who was fired by Miss Carey in November, also alleges that the chart-topping star is addicted to alcohol, prescription pills and marijuana, according to Hollywood news website TMZ.
Miss Carey, 48, who revealed last week that she suffers from bipolar disorder, strongly denied the claims, with her team calling them ‘ baseless’. Miss Bulochnikov worked with Miss Carey, who is worth an estimated £370million, for several years.
She was an executive producer on her reality TV show Mariah’s World.
A joint statement issued in November said the pair parted ways for their ‘mutual best interests’.
It said they remained partners in other businesses.
However, Miss Bulochnikov now alleges that she was dismissed unfairly halfway through a three-year contract, a claim that is disputed by Miss Carey.
TMZ reports that a ‘ huge amount of money’ is being sought for missed payments as well as for the alleged breaches of contract.
Miss Bulochnikov’s lawyers threatened that they would move to a ‘blockbuster exposé lawsuit’ if the singer does not settle the claim.
According to Forbes maga- zine, Miss Carey – who has sold more than 200million records worldwide – earned $ 27million (£ 19million) in 2015, the year she signed with Miss Bulochnikov. A spokesman for Miss Carey told E! News: ‘Stella Bulochnikov was terminated from employment as Mariah’s manager due to failure to perform her job effectively and ill- vigorously serving her client. Stella was not under contract for employment. She has been spreading false rumours to any media outlet that will publish them.
‘We won’t respond to lies and threats. Again, if this frivolous and baseless claim is filed, we will defend against it and successfully.’ Miss Bulochnikov also claims the singer failed to take the medication she was prescribed for her bipolar disorder. Miss Carey is now in therapy and receiving treatment.
the mother of two, whose biggest hits include Without You and All I Want For Christmas Is You, told People magazine: ‘until recently I lived in denial and isolation and in constant fear someone would expose me.
‘It was too heavy a burden to carry and I simply couldn’t do that any more.
‘I sought and received treatment, I put positive people around me and I got back to doing what I love – writing songs and making music.’
Bipolar disorder is characterised by extreme mood swings. It usually develops in the late teens and affects one adult in 100.
