CREDIT CHECKER SOLD

-

A HANDFUL of bosses at credit checking agency Callcredit will share up to £250m after it was sold.

Chicago-based TransUnion is buying the firm for £1bn in a bid to break into the British finance market. Most of the cash is going to American private equity firm GTCR, which has a 75pc stake. The rest is held by under 20 current and former staff members, documents suggest.

Calculations by the Mail show that executives, including boss Mike Gordon and former group managing director Graham Lund, will pocket tens of millions. Callcredit said it didn’t ‘recognise the figure quoted’.
