Footcare is flopping
CONSUMER giant Reckitt Benckiser’s sales have been dragged down by the flop of its Scholl footcare range.
The maker of Durex condoms and lysol disinfectant saw sales grow 2pc to £3.2bn over the latest quarter, behind rivals such as Nestle and Unilever.
health-related products, 62pc of the business, saw sales grow just 1pc, held back by Scholl, which has struggled amid troubles with performance of gadgets such as its exfoliator.
Reckitt bought Scholl, which makes products to treat blisters, corn and verrucas, in 2010. Shares fell 2.8pc, or 161p, to 5625p.
