Good grief, apparently it is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Come on, Royal Mint. I could make a more realistic Harry with some Play-Doh, two raisin eyes and a strip of orange Fuzzy-Felt.

One wonders how much more humiliation Meghan Markle can take before the big day.

Just this week one more ghastly relative of hers seemed determined to spoil the party, another bitter Markle termite creeping out from the family woodwork. this time it was estranged half-brother thomas Markle Jnr, who advised Prince Harry to call off the ‘fake fairytale wedding’ because she is ‘not the right woman for you’.

Even half- sister samantha, who has called Meghan a ‘ social climber’ thought he had ‘gone too far’. Yet every time one of the members of her family try to drag her down, my admiration for the redoubtable Miss Markle increases exponentially.

All these siblings had the same chances in life, but she was the only one who soared. she forged her own successful path by being focused, determined, hard- working and ambitious — all credit to her. No wonder she is thought not have invited this shower of greedy, vengeance- seeking rellies — who have never had a good word to say.

I hope she holds her head high and has a lovely wedding — it is the least she deserves.
