Cosby pair eager to seize second chance

- CARA SLOMAN

LUKE BURROWS and Matt Peyton, runners-up in 2015, are driven by unfinished business in this year’s Daily Mail Foursomes. It is the first time the pair have qualified to represent Cosby since they came so close to lifting the trophy when they were beaten 3&2 in the grand final by Mendip. ‘We were pleased to go as far as we did but we want to go one better,’ said Burrows, a Leicestershire county player who plays off plus one. Burrows and Peyton beat Moor Hall’s David Calvert and Michael Sandoz 3&1 to move into the fourth round. The Cosby pair have four matches to negotiate a return to the showpiece event, which will be staged at Marriott St Pierre in October.
