Double standards
LAST week I tried to pay £20 into my daughter’s bank account, but was told I could not do so due to new government regulations to prevent money laundering.
Imagine how incensed I was to discover that for decades officials have been turning a blind eye to billions of pounds of Russian money being laundered through the City.
Why is it that when there are crackdowns, it is the ordinary British citizen who is inconvenienced?
