NFL BAN PLAYERS FROM KNEELING DURING ANTHEM

NFL teams will be fined if their players kneel during the USA national anthem after a vote from club owners. Ex-San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the anthem in 2016 in protest against police brutality of black Americans. Many players followed his lead, but NFL bosses fear the protests appear ‘unpatriotic’. ‘On-field protests created a false perception among fans that players were unpatriotic,’ said NFL boss Roger Goodell. ‘Players who choose not to stand may stay in the locker room until after the anthem.’
