Gigi and Whoopi, fashion’s brightest stars
IT takes something pretty special to stand out at the ‘Oscars of fashion’.
But Whoopi Goldberg and model Gigi Hadid did just that in two rather loud outfits at the CFDA awards show in New York on Monday.
Miss Hadid, 23, showed off her enviable figure in a skin-tight bodysuit with a rainbow of colourful graphics.
The supermodel, who is thought to have recently rekindled her relationship with former One Direction member Zayn Malik, matched the outfit with bright red stilettos and lipstick.
Miss Goldberg, meanwhile, took the brightness factor to another level.
The 62- year- old American actress wore a hot pink ensemble designed for her by Christian Siriano, who accompanied her in an understated black suit.
The outfit featured super wide-leg trousers and a low cut belted jacket that showed off the large tattoo on her chest.
She also wore a matching wide-brimmed hat.
The CFDAs, which stands for Council of Fashion Designers of America, takes place in New York every year to honour fashion’s biggest achievements.
The council includes designers Carolina Herrera, Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren and Zac Posen. Also in attendance was British supermodel Naomi Campbell, who wore an unusual red tassel dress.
