Hate camps and combat training for a ‘race war’

-

NATIONAL Action organised ‘Hate Camps’ to train its members for a ‘race war’, the court heard.

Founded in 2013 by university students Benjamin Raymond and Alex Davies, the group aimed to recruit 18 to 30-yearolds with a so-called ‘reign of terror’ recruitment method.

This included producing slick videos on social media, putting up branded stickers across city centres, and organising demonstrations.

The Old Bailey heard how it ran combat training at a gym in Warrington and organised Hate Camps in Scotland and the Lake District.

However, jurors were told its membership never exceeded 100 and after voicing support for the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox, it was banned in 2016 under the Terrorism Act.
