SOUTHGATE HOPEFUL OVER RASHFORD
GARETH SOUTHGATE is hopeful Marcus Rashford will be available for England’s clash against Tunisia on Monday despite increasing fears over his fitness. The Manchester United striker missed England’s first training session in Russia due to the knee injury sustained in a training match at St George’s Park. Rashford is understood to have completed a light session at the hotel yesterday while his team-mates were put through their paces four miles away at their training facility in Zelenogorsk. But boss Southgate is confident Rashford will be available for the opener in Volgograd. Raheem Sterling, who will probably be picked ahead of Rashford anyway, is fine after an accidental collision with Eric Dier yesterday.
