GARETH SOUTH­GATE is hope­ful Mar­cus Rash­ford will be avail­able for Eng­land’s clash against Tu­nisia on Mon­day de­spite in­creas­ing fears over his fit­ness. The Manch­ester United striker missed Eng­land’s first train­ing ses­sion in Rus­sia due to the knee in­jury sus­tained in a train­ing match at St Ge­orge’s Park. Rash­ford is un­der­stood to have com­pleted a light ses­sion at the ho­tel yes­ter­day while his team-mates were put through their paces four miles away at their train­ing fa­cil­ity in Ze­lenogorsk. But boss South­gate is con­fi­dent Rash­ford will be avail­able for the opener in Vol­gograd. Ra­heem Ster­ling, who will prob­a­bly be picked ahead of Rash­ford any­way, is fine af­ter an ac­ci­den­tal col­li­sion with Eric Dier yes­ter­day.
