Share spree at BT
THE wife of BT chairman Jan du Plessis has bought £204,000 of shares in the telecoms firm.
Magdalena du Plessis purchased 100,000 shares at £2.04 each.
It is not the first time she has invested in the business. In November 2017 she bought 200,000 shares at £2.52, spending a total of £504,000, shortly after her husband took up his role with the firm.
The 64-year-old chairman, who is from South Africa, has previously had non-executive roles at mining giant Rio Tinto and drinks group SAB Miller.
Non-executive director Nick Rose also bought 100,000 shares.
