ONLINE sales and high-tech interactive dressing rooms helped Zara-owner Inditex to recordbreaking sales in the first three months of the year.

Spanish firm Inditex, which owns a number of British High Street fashion retailers, including Massimo Dutti and Bershka, said pretax profit was £2.9bn, up 3pc on the same period a year ago.

The launch of Zara online in Australia and New Zealand also boosted business, as first-quarter sales hit £5bn.
