EGYPT will make a formal complaint to FIFA about the referee during the defeat by Russia that knocked them out of the World Cup. The Egyptian FA claim Ahmed Fathi was pushed before his own goal opened the scoring in the 3-1 defeat. Mohsen Marwan also had a penalty appeal turned down. ‘We did not achieve justice,’ said Egyptian FA chairman Hany Abo Rida. ‘We want an investigation into the whole refereeing team.’
