We’re in the money

-

NO BREXIT dividend (Letters)? Over the next ten years Britain will have to pay the Eu £40 billion plus £10 billion for the transition period. Over the same time, we will reduce our payments to the Eu by £90 billion.

And when the uncertainty about our future is removed, our economy will begin to motor. IAIN PeARCY, exeter, Devon. DON’T forget that up to £40 billion offered to the Eu after our leaving date is still dependent on the uK getting an acceptable deal.

Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed. ALAN STACKMAN,

Calne, Wilts. I VOTED to Remain, but I have come to realise some of the benefits of leaving.

From next April, I will be able to stroll a couple of furlongs to my local hostelry where, for a few guineas, I will be able to enjoy a quart of fine English ale.

On sale will be mild and bitter only and none of the disgusting continental lagers.

JOHN THROUP, Heaton Mersey, Cheshire.
