AS THE full scale of the 650 suspicious deaths at the Gosport War Memorial Hospital is starting to become clear, we have the usual calls for action, accountabi­lity and justice.

A public inquiry takes ages, costs a fortune and merely produces reams of drawn- out reports detailing the blinking obvious plus a raft of new ‘lessons to be learned’.
