Meghan takes inspiration from Kate (and Lenny’s lost more than just weight!)

- By Isabella Fish and George Odling

A BEAMING Meghan Markle ditched her usual sleek and straight hairstyle in favour of bouncy curls as she joined Prince Harry and the Queen at a Buckingham Palace reception last night.

The new look, revealed at the Young Leaders Awards, left observers wondering if she had taken inspiration from her new sister-in-law Kate, who often favours a similar style.

And she was not the only one sporting a radical new hairdo at the event.

Just days after Sir Lenny Henry revealed his dramatic weight loss, the comedian appeared to have lost a few inches off his hairline, too.

Sir Lenny was seen with a visibly receding hairline and trimmed sideburns. It is thought he adopted the look as part of an upcoming acting role, after he was spotted with a full head of hair earlier this month.

He and Miss Markle were joined at the event by David Beckham, Sir John Major and boxer Nicola Adams.

The ceremony was part of the Young Leaders programme, which celebrates youth role models from across the Commonwealth. This year’s participants came from 38 countries and worked on projects ranging from supporting those with mental health problems to campaigning for gender equality.
