Excuse won’t wash!

A NORTH Staffordshire school wants to raise funds to buy a washing machine to wash the clothes of students who are sent to school dirty. It is claimed that some parents cannot afford to wash their children’s clothes. The reason is child neglect, not poverty.

Some parents may not be able to afford a washing machine but that’s no excuse. They need to learn how to hand-wash clothes in the sink using a bar of hard soap which would last for weeks.
