Factor 30 spray that offers no sun protection

BOTTLES of Malibu Dry Oil Spray with a claimed sun protection factor of 30 have been recalled after they were filled with the wrong product containing no defence at all.

The bottles were sold through the Home Bargains chain and contain a fast tanning oil that offers no protection against getting sunburnt.

The bottles involved have a brown flip lid rather than the orange pump spray that normally appears on the Malibu SPF30 Dry Oil Spray.

The manufacturer said it believes fewer than 200 of the bottles went on sale at Home Bargains stores. A number of these have been recovered.

A warning in store windows reads: ‘This product is being recalled as it contains the wrong formulation. There is a potential risk to the consumer if the product is used as it does not provide protection against the sun.’
