Sir Paul’s pal rips into cost of Stella fashions

DESPITE starring in Sir Paul McCartney’s video for his 2013 single Queenie Eye, the world’s oldest supermodel, Daphne Selfe, is not afraid to criticise his daughter, eco-fashion designer Stella, for making sustainable fashion too expensive.

‘I support sustainable fashion but it needs to be more affordable.

‘ Stella does make beautiful clothes but the problem is most people can’t afford it, which I find shocking,’ the 89-year-old, above, tells me at the Unit London gallery launch in Hanover Square, Mayfair.

‘It makes us think ethical fashion is only for rich people. I’d love to be able to afford Stella but I can’t.

‘I buy my clothes from charity shops.’
