HAVING KIDS MADE ME ADORE MY BODY

-

FAITH halliday, 40, is a stayat-home mother. She lives in South-West london with her husband, Will, 40, a shipping broker and their two children, Zoe, six and harry, four. BEFORE I had children I wouldn’t have dreamt of wearing a bikini on the beach.

Now I’ve got a suitcase full of them and, as far as I’m concerned, the skimpier the bikinis are, the better.

I spent my 20s hiding my ‘fat’ tummy in a tankini — a long, tummy-covering two-piece — even though I was a perfectly healthy size 12.

But becoming a mother totally changed my body image. I was amazed at what my body could do and now I’m so proud of it, I want to show it off to the world.

Putting on a bikini at my age is my way of shouting ‘all this and two beautiful children, too’. Now I’m far less critical of any lumps or bumps.

It’s also made me take better care of myself. I exercise almost every day, doing 30-minute workouts using the instruction videos on the site janeyholliday.com, and make sure to eat really healthily, by having lots of salads and vegetables, for example.

I’ll happily run around on the beach without a cover-up, and can’t wait to see the holiday photographs — something I used to dread.
