Victim forced to sleep with 15 men a day

-

ONE victim of the trafficking ring told how she was forced to sleep with up to 15 men a day.

‘Kiki’ – whose real identity has been protected – said she first met Josephine Iyamu, who called herself Madame Sandra, in Benin City, Nigeria.

Kiki said: ‘She promised me that when I came to Germany, she [would] take care of me.’ But after a ritualistic initiation ceremony and pledging to hand over all her earnings when she arrived in Europe, the young woman was then told she ‘owed’ more than £33,000 to cover the cost of her journey. ‘I had to pay 120 euros (£106) rent every day, but if I didn’t work I didn’t have the money to pay. I had to pay it. If not, they said I’d have to go, so I’d have nowhere to stay,’ she said.

Kiki was set up in a German brothel and expected to sleep with men all day. ‘I always started from two o’clock in the afternoon to six o’clock in the morning,’ she added.

Kiki wants to stay in Germany as a hairdresser but, despite Iyamu’s conviction, there is still a chance she could be deported.
