Gary Oldman’s mum dies at 98

THE mother of British actor Gary Oldman has died – just three months after he dedicated his Best Actor Oscar to her.

The actor, 60, pictured with Kathleen, said yesterday his mother was a woman of ‘great talent and mirth’. Accepting the Oscar for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour, he told the 98-year-old: ‘Put the kettle on mum, I’m bringing Oscar home.’
