PeTeR Oborne’s piece about Prince William’s visit to israel oversimplified the situation. israel has powerful enemies like Syria, supported by iran, Russia and terrorists Hezbollah, isis and al-Qaeda who are conducting terrible battles north of israel with deaths of more than 500,000.
iran’s support allows Hamas and the Palestinian authority (Pa) to keep attacking israel at its borders. it is easy to waive Palestinian and gazan guilt until you realise that not only are they trying to attack israel via tunnels, but are using rockets, mortars and Molotov cocktails (delivered by drones or kites) to destroy millions of pounds worth of crops.
They even destroyed installations which supply gaza with electricity from israel, and bombed the entrance which supplies gaza with food, fuel and materials — shooting themselves in the foot.
israel has tried to make peace, but the Palestinians will not agree — particularly as they have the support of rogue nation iran and the financial support of the eU and others.
The Jews want peace, but the Palestinians want the land of israel. lAuReNCe fReemAN,

The claim that Israel is poisoning Palestinian wells is false. It was recently repeated by the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, but swiftly retracted. It’s completely counter-intuitive as the same aquifers are used by Israelis.
Peter Oborne also claims in his article that Israelis steal Palestinian water. The truth is Israel is providing Palestinians with water.

PeTer Oborne gave a fair summary of the situation in Palestine today — 100 years after the Balfour Declaration, which read: ‘his Majesty`s Government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non- Jewish communities in Palestine.’
What is to be done to correct this gross violation of the principles of the Balfour Declaration by Israel and the U.S., and why has Britain been so useless in this case yet so quick to interfere in other foreign injustices?
