A CELEBRITY mother has had her two children put into foster care, it has been claimed.

Reports said the famous woman, who cannot be named, was ‘neglecting’ her children to pursue her ‘glamorous lifestyle’.

The mother is understood to have regularly left her children to fend for themselves at her £1million home.

‘Social services got involved after she was accused of pulling her son’s hair,’ a source told The Sun. ‘Then further problems came to light.’

A judge is believed to have placed the children in the care of another family close to their home. The celebrity mother is said to be distraught.

To take a child into care, a court must issue a care order which allows the council to place the child with a foster family.

Under the Children Act 1989 a council can apply for a care order if it believes a child is suffering or at risk of significant harm. The local authority handling the case cannot be named.

In America, celebrities are often named when their child’s wellbeing has come into question.

Brad Pitt, 54, was investigated by child protection officials following his separation from wife Angelina Jolie, 43, and allegations of violence aboard a private jet. Officials closed the case after finding no evidence of abuse.
