Council bans bouncy castles
A COUNCIL has become the first in the country to ban bouncy castles and giant inflatables on its land after a girl of three was killed after one exploded.
Ava-May Littleboy was on a large inflatable trampoline when it blew up, hurling her 20ft in the air at Gorleston Beach in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
Havant Borough Council, Hampshire, yesterday announced a complete ban on the inflatables until the cause of the explosion is identified.
It also cited the case of Summer Grant, seven, who was killed when the bouncy castle she was playing on was lifted 50 metres in the air when it escaped its moorings in Harlow, Essex in 2016.
